FAQ
Which domains can embed the widgets?
Any domain. The widget routes are served with a permissive frame policy, so no allow-listing or registration is required. If you want sign-up attribution, pass data-utm-source. See Attribution.
How do I control the size?
Use data-width (default 100%) and data-height (default 600px) on the script tag. These style the container and iframe; they are never forwarded to the widget itself.
How does auto-height work?
The News and Trading Signals widgets accept data-height="auto". The widget measures its content and posts a message to your page:
{
"type": "dealsize-widget",
"widget": "news",
"action": "resize",
"height": 812
}
The loader script listens for this message (verifying both the message origin and the source iframe) and resizes the iframe to match. You don't need to write any code.
Which languages are supported?
en, es, de, pt, ja, zh-CN, zh-TW, ar, ko, hi. Pass data-locale; if a locale isn't in this list, the widget UI falls back to English while your original locale is still recorded for analytics. Arabic renders right-to-left automatically.
Can I put more than one widget on a page?
Yes. Each script tag creates and manages its own iframe independently, including auto-height resizing.
Do the widgets set cookies on my site?
No. The widgets run entirely inside their iframe. Your page only includes a script tag that creates the container and iframe.
Can I customize the colors?
Yes. Each widget exposes a small set of semantic color parameters (accent, headings, bullish/bearish, and so on) documented on its Parameters page. Values are hex colors, for example data-accent-color="#069BEC".
The widget doesn't load: what should I check?
- The script tag's
srcpoints athttps://www.dealsize.ai/dealsize-widget.js(orembed-widget.jsfor the calendar). data-widgetis one ofnewsortrading-signals(the calendar loader doesn't need it).- Your Content-Security-Policy allows framing
https://www.dealsize.ai(frame-src) and loading the script (script-src). - Symbol values match the allowed character set (letters, digits, and
. ^ : - /depending on the widget).
Which symbols do the widgets take?
FMP tickers, the symbols DealSize uses, for both the News and Trading Signals widgets. For the major instruments your broker code works too; see Symbols for the list. For the rest, the FMP ticker is not always your broker's name for the same instrument: Apple is AAPL, not APLUSD. To find a ticker, search for the instrument on dealsize.ai; it's shown next to the name and in the page address (dealsize.ai/asset/aapl).
An unrecognised symbol causes no error. The News widget shows "No recent news for APLUSD" and the Trading Signals widget shows its "signal unavailable" state, so if you see either for an instrument you expect to work, check the ticker first.
