Overview

All three widgets follow the same embedding model: a loader script creates an iframe pointing at https://www.dealsize.ai/{locale}/widgets/{widget} and passes your configuration as URL parameters.

Two loader scripts

  • dealsize-widget.js is the unified loader for the News and Trading Signals widgets. Select the widget with data-widget="news" or data-widget="trading-signals"; every other data-* attribute is converted from kebab-case to camelCase and forwarded as a query parameter. It bakes in no defaults. The widget's server-side configuration schema fills in anything you don't pass.
  • embed-widget.js is the dedicated loader for the Economic Calendar widget.

Common behavior

  • Localization: pass data-locale. Supported UI locales get a localized path (for example /es/widgets/news); anything else falls back to English while your original locale is still passed along for analytics.
  • Multiple widgets per page are supported: each script tag manages its own iframe.
  • Auto-height (News and Trading Signals): with data-height="auto" the widget reports its rendered height to your page via postMessage and the loader resizes the iframe. Messages are verified against the widget's origin and iframe before being applied.
  • No cookies or credentials are required from your site; widgets are self-contained.

Attribution

Sign-ups originating from your embed are attributed to you via utm_source. This must be passed explicitly where supported: browsers frequently strip or truncate iframe referrers, so it cannot be inferred. Read Attribution before going live.
